Kim M. Seidel, MA, LPC, NCC

Kim has witnessed trauma from nearly every perspective: as a mother, an adopted child, adoptive parent, relative caregiver, and a professional counselor for over 27 years. She understands that children with challenging stories are different, almost "alien-like" sometimes. Kim is a self-proclaimed “alien” and she understands that they require a different type of parenting and educational approach. She will help you learn exactly what your child and students need from you, so that they heal, learn and thrive in your care.

Kim has dedicated her life to train and serve foster/adoptive/biological parents, and educators  in a love based parenting paradigm, using her Formulas for Healing & Hearing Your Alien combined with The Stress Model by Bryan Post. Kim has found that this dual approach to be extremely effective in preserving foster/adoptive placements, creating stronger connections within biological families, as well as helping educators to connect with students in their classrooms that present with major behavioral concerns.
